Hatred or just friendly banter against the Mags?

Pure f***ing hatred. Deluded bastards the vast majority of them. One or two are alright as i live in Northumberland surrounded by them and i have a few mates who are mags but the majority are just total wastes of air and organs.

Went to a high school with 1,200 kids in with me the only sunderland fan. Yet i was the only one in the school with a season ticket for any club.

They'll have all been on the waiting list, whilst you got your free tickets man.:roll:

I know some really sound lads who support the filth. As well as I get on with them they will never rank as high as my Sunderland mates.

was sat in a pub and he walked past , he was asked for his shirt , he refused , so he went in wearing it

I'd love to go to the match with one lad in particular. Knows his football, and is sound as they come - you guessed it though!
Fair play to him for cringing at all the up their own arses, asw shite the majority get up to though.

We have good craic. He is the only one I know where things don't tend to get a bit 'heated' in the build up to a derby

It's all friendly banter with those lads, it's all give and take with them. I can have a sensible conversation about our teams with them without any bother. There is however a bloke at work who has got to be the most deluded barcoded man on this earth. Champions league this and Europe that how they are gonna "fuck you over at st James park". I obviously immediately asked him if he meant exeter.. He didn't have a clue what I was going on about. He's got to be one of the worst Dirty mags iv met its complete blind faith .oh And he's ginger..

To be expected. They still think they have ground called SJP. They don`t :p

Had too many great nightouts in Newcastle, too many friends who were mags, to hate them.

Of course I never went through that whole silly Geordie Nation stupidity..heck we were all geordies in the 70s..at least that's what we sang. They tried to beat me up in Pink Lane in 79..but what the hell..only time I was ever stabbed and that was a Sunderland supporter in the Fulwell from Hendon..didnt like i was from Boldon.

Shit happened in those days.

Glad I missed all that Sky..Nation stuff to be honest. Of couse I'd love to beat them this weekend but I know I have more in common with someone at whatever their ground is called these days than I will ever have with a Chelsea or QPR fan...I am the son of a coal miner from the Northumberland and Durham coalfield...when they kick in my front door if i got to pick I know who I'd rather have standing with me.. and it wouldn't be a cockey.

Anyday.

Sorry.

Hate the bastards...No banter for me...just silence until game time....then the texting starts after every goal. We will not talk to each other for weeks....That's my brother-in-law from Newcastle for you!

hows that happened

Both born in Consett, he supported darlo and Newcastle as a kid and I supported Sunderland. Lived in Sunderland for 3 years but when we were both under 6, then living in Durham is far enough away for both of us to choose differently.

Hate the club ..always have, however some fans are both family and good friends, so I suppose the banter is friendly in reality, but that doesn't take anything away from the detest of the club.

Let's be honest the reason we hate them so much is because of their arrogance. The reason they are arrogant is because for donkeys years they have largely been in the ascendency over us and whenever it looks as though we might overtake them we usually fail miserably. Because of this there is no banter, just arrogant put downs. Whenever I talk to most mags who I would class as reasonable they still have that edge to them. The 5-1 last season, followed by two insipid home games has really knocked my end in.

Whether we like it or not we are in their shadow and Sky will help to make sure that continues. I am 53 and have seen us beat them TWICE at our place in my life time. How can you have banter with a dreadful record like that?

Good post. It could be worse though, I know our record against them is a f***ing mess but at least they have won nowt and give us plenty of moments of amusement.

In reality though, they usually have the upper hand purely because of their record against us. Our lack of European history compared to them hurts too.

Just how far do your feelings go against the Great unwashed?

it's pretty much banter with me, I have a lot of friends who support Newcastle but on derby day it really does turn to hatred

that really is pathetic like

Well put marra,it still feels right and proper to take the moral high ground against them though,i just know in my heart of hearts we are better than them. I quite enjoy it when a couple of mag mates, who are generally ok start getting above their station,i find as a breed they are reasonably easy to outwit and put down, with arrogance comes great falability.

they just seem to constantly great and they've had players who i just can't hack

barton, s taylor, bowyer, malcolm macdonald and i just can't handle sh*arer - wanna punch his lights out every time i see him on motd
