Yep, he will get at least 15 goals a season IMO.

There's the problem.

Who is that?

Based on?

His playing style, the fact he'll be playing alongside his international teammate so will already have an understanding with him, the fact he has a great scoring record in Germany and usually that translates to goals in the PL & the fact African strikers usually do pretty good in the PL too.

Does it?

Will be interesting to see the wages, agents fees etc.

The agent will be £3m or summat daft. Wages...I'd expect £40k at least.

...Stubber or Steve30000000000000000000 and I can call house on my PF Meltdown/pants wetting bingo card.

Come on!!!
I'm not expecting any signings. We sold Bent last January amidst claims of replacing him in the Summer but instead we bought a couple of untried kids. We bizarrely loaned out our star striker at the end of the last window and brought in a loanee, who thinks he's Pele but performs like Jon Stead. Any talk of using the Gyan loan money to bring in a striker has faded recently.

No meltdown here, marra. I honestly can't see any movement. Times have changed and the chill wind of economic neccessity is howling through the boardroom at the SoL. I realised this some time ago. Pay attention. ;)

Ashley still out?

Re: Forget (about) The Mags

FTM.

OK some of you are getting your clarts in a twist re: the mags apparently signing the Cissé fella.

But they're slipping back into their usual policy of signing expensive centre forwards instead of shoreing up the defensive problems.

If Pardew spunks £10M on Cissé he'll have less to sign decent defenders.

Why not have a bit of faith in O'Neill and Short's longer term project instead of focusing and worrying about the boom and bust mentality up the road?

Fair play if they attract a decent player but SAFC have done it before too. It's the team and end result that counts, not fancy dan individuals. Even if NUFC are having a good season, we are inching along instead of sprinting and breaking the occasional proverbial leg.

FTM.

exactly so.

bollox to them, not interested in what they do or who they sign. Our club and our team is what matters.

we are heading in the right direction. that`s as much as we can hope for this season. MON has hardly got his feet under the table. We have had better results over the last few weeks than any of us expected.

Will be gutted if they get Cisse like, we need a free scoring poacher and he's exactly that.

They are going to be a very decent side again by the looks of things

Re: Forget (about) The Mags

why aren't I allowed to be disappointed that we're missing out on a target that I think would have been good for us?

he could have signed for West Brom and I still would have been disappointed.

Is he your target marra or Martin O'Neils ? coz you could say that about any player in the world
