Ive got to say with all the shite thats been in the press regarding how terrible that this has happened to the "Gentlemans game" Ive never heard so much crap in all my life, I personally know two high profile fellas who have played the game at the highest level, and believe me there not bloody gentlemen. Good lads yes, a laugh yes, love the drink? your not fcukin kidding. A few years ago I was boozing with one of them on a Saturday night, sorry Sunday morning 3am, and he lead his team out at Headingly later that day. Oh and the so called shock about this scandel, its not a bloody shock, People who have half an idea about the game have known its gone on for years. Rant over!

just a stab in the dark but I think they may be on about the spirit the game should be played in. If you nick it.....walk. I you don't think you have stand your ground and if the finger goes up .... walk don't rant or owt. etc etc etc Wait until you get in the dressing room then go mental.

Oh and don't feckin cheat.

These guys get a pittance (comparatively) and I can understand what they;'ve done, but not for one nano second do I condone what they have done.

Then remember you can do anything you want once the game is over for the day.

Some would argue that it hasn't been a gentlemans game since the Bodyline series.

There are shady aspects in every walk of life.

politics, religion, relationships, sport etc etc cricket is and probably never has been immune. Is it a more gentlemanly game that football and other sports? Probably yes. Very little disrespect to umpires, not as many off pitch sleaze stories as football or rugby and very rarely trouble between supporters.
