India have been shit. Utterly utterly shit.

But at the same time....

Over an entire summer to be unbeaten is frankly brilliant. Against a number 1 test side and world cup winners.

Everyone's stood up and played their part. India have been very poor but England have also had the odd injury along the way but the next in line have come in and taken their chances.

It's unfair to understate the achievement this England team have made this summer, to keep up the quality and intensity all summer, no matter how bad India have been, is a testament to the players and backroom staff.

Long may this continue.
 
Botham was spot on with what he said yesterday, when we win its because the opposition are shit and when we lose its because we are shit. About time we got some credit.

All credit to England, we have been the best side in the world for the past year hammering Aus in their back yard then beating India easily at home.
 
youve still got to beat whos put in front of you and india were the best team in the world when they turned up
 
Playing them in India will be much harder but I wonder what impact this has had on India mentally.
 
finally learnt how to consistently beat sides in our own conditions

we should have been doing this to sides at home for years
 
With the probable exception of Patel, every player who has played has made a vital contribution to the successful summer.

No Khan, Tendulkar, Sehwag, Gambhir, Harbajan


Take out Pietersen, Morgan, Swann, Cook and Broad and lets see how we fair in Asia......spanked no doubt

No Tendulkar? I must have missed the 4 vests he played in. And Harbhajan played 2 and was awful, as with sehwag
