Just thiught i would share a little information with you before you all set off on your long journey.

Parking around the ground is really non existant. There is a few few car parks where you will probably pay around £5-£6 in the back streets but probably better of leaving the M4 at junction 45 and catching the park and ride which is well signposted.

If your hear early enough your better off heading for a few family friendly pubs within about a 10 min walk to the ground (Plough and Harrow Brynhyfryd), (The Wern Landore) and (The Globe Landore) try to avoid the Railway Inn. There is a Harvester and Next door to the ground but this gets very full on matchday and you might struggle to get served. For those of you arriving by train, you can head down to Wind Street pronounced Wine Street where plenty of big chain pubs can be found and will be bouncing come Saturday night. Anything up to 8,000 people on the street with around 25-35 pubs and clubs. If you intend to visit there in the morning you are safe enough, however will face a taxi ride of around 15 mins costing around £10.

Have a safe journey and her is hoping for a 1-0 win to us.

Cheers mate, all good useful information, we were starting to worry we wouldn't get a pint anywhere! One quick question, are colours safe enough to be on show when walking from the pub to the ground? thanks and good luck after tomorrow

Nice work fella, all the best for the season.

Thanks pal- when you mention the £5-£6 jobs do you mean the kind of Car Parks people set up in school yards or factories on match days, I use these pretty much all of the time and am reasonably happy.

That's the prozac. ;-)

Theres lovely isn't it.

best pint of Brains SA can be found where?

There is only one Brains pub in Swansea that I know of. The Adam and Eve is on the High Street about 100m from the station. From there it is about a 25 minute walk to the ground (plenty more pubs on the way) or there are loads of buses

cheers mate and sure those that travel will appreciate this.
Good luck for the rest of the season after us of course.
If you are coming up here for your game a warm welcome awaits

Thanks mate, good to see you here and in the prem. Really good info, and good of you to come on here to share, if you knew the abuse most get on here normally you wouldnt have bothered. Keep posting on here mate regardless of result, you are imo a welcome addition to the madhouse

Colours are pretty safe but like all clubs you will get your idiots. If you don't go looking for trouble you should be fine and usually you will receive a warm welcome.

Cheers, a short walk compared to getting to Anfield...

If you are walking, head North on High Street for about 200m. Turn right into Prince of Wales Road. This leads to a dead end but there is a footpath that leads to a footbridge which crosses the A483. From there you walk straight down Neath Road. This route is not obvious if you look at a map but is the quickest way.
