Durham are in 2nd place with 8, although the top county have 3 Irishmen and 2 who have been born abroad but not actually classed as Kolpaks, meaning Durham would have the largest number of genuine kolpak players.
Middlesex
Well done that man. 11 non-English born players plying their trade at Lords, although it may be a little harsh as Strauss and Dalrymple were born in SA and Kenya respectively but schooled over there and not classed as Kolpak signings, and 2 Irish players in Morgan and Stirling (Not 3 like I mentioned sorry)
The county with the lowest number is Northants, with only Niall O'Brien being born outside the UK.
u got a link to the stat
Not as such, had a few minutes spare so went through all the county squads on BBC Sport![]()
I am very sceptical of this then....
Andy Hall is South African and skippers Northants. Vaas one would assume is the registered overseas. So how do they only have one if you including the keeper
![]()
Because rather foolishly, I seem to have missed Hall out
Unless you are still allowed 2 overseas players?, I know that rule was re-introduced a few years ago but with all the comings and goings and T20 signings it's hard to know what the general rules are.
only one overseas player
How many more you missed out
you had a mare here like
A Kolpak is someone who qualifies to play in the County game but not as an overseas player. For example, Di Venuto through his Italian passport.
I think there has to be some agreement that you won't get called up for your country, or a general belief you won't.
I think.
