favs are hampshire at 7/2 but you can have 12s for durham to win the T20

with the likelihood of stokes being available by the hampshire game we could beat hampshire.

yes their spinners are the key but we have the batting power to score 160, which imo, would win the game down there

If we can negotiate their spinners then I think we can win, their batting line-up isn't great so there's a good chance the game will be won or lost during the overs bowled by their spinners.

what would your side be and in what batting order for this game

Tough one, because although the calls for Benks to move up the order are reasonable, I think he's ideal to be coming in around number 5 as he can either dig us out of a potentially tricky situation, or finish the innings with a bit of momentum. With a fit Stokes I'd go for..

Mustard
Blackwell
Stokes
Collingwood
Benkenstein
Miller
Breese

Unsure on Miller at number 6 as I'm really not sure what type of batsman he's meant to be, but we simply can not afford to not be utilising that top 5 in some way.

The remaining 4 for me would be

Plunkett
Borthwick
Onions
Claydon

Pick themselves really, can't leave someone as good as Bunny out in a big game, Claydon has bowled well recently, Borthwick is much needed pace off the ball and good turn and although Plunkett can let himself down a bit in terms of bowling too many extra deliveries, you still get an excellent fielder and handy lower order bat.

Blackwell and Mustard dont compliment each other IMO and have never really clicked.

I would open with Breese.

See edit for rest of post/bowling attack, I cut short a bit early there sorry.

I did consider Breese, as I like the idea of having a right/left combination, but I don't think he could cope well with the moving ball early on.

I don't think so, strong batting line-up with Hildreth, Kieswetter and Trego, but their bowling line up is pretty average IMO.

Im sorry but Trego aint that good.

Tresco makes some of that side appear better than what they are

I stand corrected but Somerset were a pretty ordinary county side b4 Tres started playing for them again

Hildreth aint all that, just plays on the best deck in the country every week

I don't really rate Trego at all personally but he can strike a long ball and that will always be dangerous in such a short format. He's just another Graham Napier, but I think Hildreth is a more than decent county batsman, they have Pollard aswell who I feel is overrated but other than those, there's no real quality there. I don't see them winning it unless Trescothick and Kieswetter can get them off to excellent starts in the knock-out games.

They mustn't have updated it. We were 5th earlier this week but then beat Northants on Thursday night to go 4th and thankfully Worcs failed to beat Notts last night so we held on to that position.

agree apart from id Swap Breese for Muchall

Colly and Benks have to be 3 and 4 agreed

Would there be any point in picking Muchall at all is he's going to bat 8?

Dont think Pie's line up is far wrong there but you just have this horrible feeling that there's no way Miller will bat outside the top 5, and certainly not at 7.
