RTG Downtime/DDoS attack

September 14, 2025 by rtg

RTG has been receiving an intense distributed denial of service attack (DDoS) on our servers since Friday evening which is showing no signs of abating.

The fact that you can read this message means significant progress has been made in mitigating the attack, but there is still a considerable amount of work to be done before we can restore a normal service. In reality with our other commitments it is unlikely that this will be before Monday evening.

In case anyone is concerned, there has been no unauthorised access to our servers and all data is secure. The main webserver and datacentre itself are simply overwhelmed by the amount of traffic being sent to them.
