SAFC have been excellent and given the Bradley Lowery Foundation free use of an executive box again this season so that The Foundation can host families of ill children allowing them to create special memories.
The foundation recently put out an appeal for companies to sponsor the cost of providing refreshments for the box (£200/match) and this was mentioned by “thamesvalleyman” on our forums.
Several forum members then suggested that the forum should raise enough money to sponsor a couple of the games – but as we all know, we can do better than that.
As a result we have set an unofficial target of raising the equivalent of the full season of 19 matches at £200/match (ie. £3800). Not that this should preclude any other business sponsors – just because we know we can and the funds will go to a great foundation.
There have been some exceptional individual sponsors and we have currently raised £2700 (+ a further £639 gift aid), but we need that final push to reach the goal.
