The club and its official charity recently announced a special fundraising campaign to help improve people’s mental health through the Foundation’s award-winning programmes.
One in 10 people in the North East will be diagnosed with depression and one in 10 children aged between 5-16 have a diagnosable mental health problem.
The Give a Quid campaign hopes to raise £30,000 to support work across the North East to improve mental health.
Donating by text is a quick and easy way to support the campaign with Foundation of Light receiving 95% of all money raised.
