The club has confirmed a third game in Scotland, against St Johnstone on Saturday 15th July
The tour begins with a trip to Bury on July 07. They will then play three games against Scottish opposition during a week-long visit north of the border. Hibernian FC on Sunday 09 July, Livingston FC on Wednesday 12 July and St Johnstone on Saturday 15 July.
A trip to West Yorkshire is next, to face Bradford City on July 22, followed by a game against Scunthorpe United on July 26.
The pre-season programme will conclude with a showpiece game at the Stadium of Light to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the opening of the club’s iconic home. The game is the first pre-season fixture to be held at the Stadium of Light since 2008 and further details will be announced in due course.
