Sunderland under-23s will host Colchester United in the last 16 of the Premier League Cup at Eppleton Colliery Welfare Ground on Friday 17 March, 7pm kick-off.
We advanced to the knockout stages as Group B winners, following just one defeat in six matches.
Victory over Blackburn Rovers in their final group match saw Elliott Dickman’s side leapfrog Rovers to top the group with 11 points from a possible 18.
Colchester, meanwhile, progressed as runners-up in Group C, knocking out both Manchester City and Derby County.
Entry to the game is priced at £3 for adults and £1 for over 65s and under 16s. Sunderland AFC season card holders do not gain free entry to cup fixtures.
