Pienaar in, Kaboul and Koné out

August 19, 2016 by rtg

Supporting Sunderland AFC certainly has it ups and downs, but it is never boring.

This week the club have signed Steven Pienaar on a short contract until the end of the season. Pienaar was released from Everton at the end of last season and had been training at Sunderland recently.

Watford look set to sign Kaboul who has cited personal reasons for leaving The Club, and meanwhile Koné has rejected a new contract offer and now has a mysterious “back injury” that he acquired overnight. We just hope he recovers from the injury before he undergoes a medical for Everton.

With Cattermole, Kirchoff, Jones and Larsson all out injured and Borini a doubt due to a toe injury it looks like another great opportunity for the youngsters to impress this weekend.

Papy Djilobodji is almost certain to make his debut as Kaboul’s replacement.
