Sunderland AFC’s final Barclays U21 Premier League home game of the season against Southampton FC has been moved to the Stadium of Light.
The game was due to take place at 3pm on Sunday 3 April at Eppleton Colliery Welfare but has now been moved to the Stadium of Light for a 12noon kick-off on the same day.
The Young Black Cats sit four points clear at the top of the Barclays U21 Premier League table with two games to go, though Manchester United could catch them if they were to win their games in hand.
Under 21 boss Andy Welsh said: “It will be great to play our final home game at the Stadium of Light and to hopefully secure another win which would take the title race right down to the wire.
“The supporters have been fantastic for the lads this season and I hope as many of them as possible can make it down on Sunday to give us a real boost.”
Entry to the game is free for SAFC season card holders on production of their valid 2015-16 season card.
Entry for non-season card holders is priced at £3 for adults and £1 for over 65s and under 16s, available via cash sales on the day of the game. Turnstiles 1-8 and 17-24 will open from 11am.
Any tickets already purchased for this game remain valid for the fixture, or are refundable at the point of sale.
The game has been moved due to Sunderland AFC Ladies’ progression in the SSE Women’s FA Cup; the Lady Black Cats will face Reading at 2pm on Sunday 3 April, at Eppleton CW (Hetton).
Tickets for the ladies match are available here from £4 for adults, £2 for U21s and £5 for adult/child combo.
