Almost 42,000 tickets have been sold for the match against West Ham and as a result there will be no cash turnstiles in operation on the day of the game.
The Hammers travel to Wearside on Saturday 3 October, 3.00pm kick-off, with tickets priced from £25 for adults, £19 for over 65s and just £10 for under 16s.
Tickets are still available both online and from the Stadium of Light ticket office which will be open from 10am until kick-off on Saturday.
The Fan Zone will also be open outside the south east corner, three hours before kick-off and for an hour after the final whistle. There will be live music, entertainment, innovative food and beverage options and much more. Entry is free upon production of match ticket or valid season card.
