Leroy Fer has failed a medical ahead of what would have been his loan move from QPR. Various sources have reported that the deal to bring Fer to Sunderland has now been called off.
Although, this is still to be confirmed by SAFC or QPR, it is thought that the failed medical was the contributing factor in saying NO DEAL.
Fer was strongly linked at the start of the week and was all set to become Sunderland’s fifth summer signing, after arriving for talks and a medical on Tuesday.
In more positive news, Yann M’Vila has undergone his medical and is expected to sign a one-year-deal.
According to The Sunderland Echo, SAFC have been in contact with Manchester United over a loan move for Adnan Januzaj. The young Belgian attacker rose to fame after scoring his first two goals, ironically, against SAFC at the SOL in October 2013.
This one seems to be at an early stage but reports have suggested a deal could be in place by the weekend.
