Fabio Borini has today completed his move from Liverpool for a fee in the region of £8million. Borini has signed a four-year-deal and will wear the number nine shirt.
Borini who is greatly loved by SAFC fans after his derby day goals and his goal at Wembley in the Capital One Cup final, is delighted to have returned.
“I am delighted to be back at Sunderland. It is a club I know really well from my time here previously.
“It will be emotional for me to play at the Stadium of Light again and I can’t wait to get back on the pitch as a Sunderland player.” Borini told safc.com.
Dick Advocaat also spoke of his delight about Borini signing.
“Fabio is a great addition to the squad who will make our front line stronger. He can play in a number of attacking positions which is a huge benefit to the team.”
With the transfer window closing in the next twenty five hours, no doubt SAFC will not be stopping there.
Here is to a couple more.
