The club is going to re-launch its retail operation over the coming weeks in order to improve the service offered to supporters.
A new online store will be launched, and the club’s three retail stores, located at the Stadium of Light, The Galleries, Washington and within Debenhams in Sunderland city centre, will be refurbished ahead of the new football season.
The move will return control of the entire retail operation to SAFC from previous retail partner Kitbag, allowing the club to deliver improved choice, quality and value for money across its product range.
Head of retail, Stuart Middlemiss, said: “We are very excited to be bringing the stores back in-house, which will give us the ability to better meet the needs of our fans by offering a more extensive range of bespoke products and improved level of service.
“During the interim switch-over period, stock levels and product choice may be limited. We will also be changing the layout of the stores to improve the overall shopping experience and thank our customers in advance for their understanding as we work through the transition process.
“Upon the completion of these changes we are confident that supporters will see a big improvement in the club’s retail operation.”
As well as an exciting range of new products, SAFC’s 2015-16 home and away kits will launch over the summer, further details of which will be available in the coming weeks on the club’s website.
