Sunderland AFC’s Under 21 side will face Spanish side Villarreal CF and Scotland’s Celtic FC in the Premier League International Cup at the Stadium of Light next month, and season card holders can enjoy the action free of charge.
The Young Black Cats will face Villarreal on Wednesday 10 December, 7.00pm kick-off.
Celtic head to the Stadium of Light on Thursday 18 December, 7.00pm kick-off.
Sunderland have been drawn alongside Villarreal, Celtic and Everton in group D of the tournament which includes some of the top Premier League U21 and elite development teams from England and other European leagues.
Season card holders can enjoy the game free of charge on production of their valid 2014-15 season card, while general admission is priced at £3 for adults and £1 for over 65s and under 16s.
There will be no advance sale of tickets and entry for both games will be through turnstiles 1-8 and 17-24 in the West Stand. Doors will open at 6.00pm for both games.
The English clubs involved in the Premier League International Cup are Sunderland, West Ham, Chelsea, Everton, Fulham, Leicester City, Manchester City and Norwich City – with all eight of the clubs having Category One Youth Academies.
The international clubs taking part are Athletic Club Bilbao, Benfica, Borussia Monchengladbach, Celtic, Schalke, Porto, PSV Eindhoven, and Villarreal.
Clubs will play each team in their group once and all matches, including those between international teams, will be played in England.
Upon completion of the group stages the winners and runners-up from each group will progress to the quarter-finals and semi-finals and final, all to be played as single-leg ties in England.
