It’s official – we are asked to avoid Trafalgar Square

February 26, 2014 by rtg

The other Red Army are taking it over:

Statement from SAFC:

Sunderland AFC is advising supporters travelling to London this weekend ahead of the Capital One Cup final, to avoid the Trafalgar Square area.

The club has been made aware of an event taking place in the area on Sunday which means that the square will be closed from 6:30am on Saturday as preparations for the annual Maslenitsa Festival get underway.

There will be no access to the general public on Saturday night and early Sunday morning until the event begins at 1:30pm and supporters should avoid the area.
