Sunderland AFC take on Manchester United at the Stadium of Light on Saturday and tickets are still available either directly from the club or via Stubhub
Supporters are advised to purchase tickets as soon as possible as there will be no cash turnstiles operating on the day of the game. Tickets are available to anyone registered on SAFC’s database, priced from £32 for adults and £15 for under 16s.
The Stadium of Light ticket office will be open on Good Friday from 10:00am until 1pm and Saturday 9:30am until kick off (12:45pm).
It will be closed to in-person callers on Easter Sunday but re-open on Monday from 10:00am until 1:00pm. Supporters can however book tickets 24 hours a day, by phone – 0871 911 1973 – or online at www.safc.com/tickets.
A new ‘print at home’ facility is also available online, to avoid the need to queue to collect tickets.
To celebrate the club’s recent collaboration with the Nelson Mandela Foundation the game is also designating as ‘Nelson Mandela Day’.
Sunderland’s players will sport one-off t-shirts for the pre-game warm up, bearing the foundation’s logo and a special ‘text to donate’ message in support of the foundation. Both teams will take to the field through a guard of honour of youngsters also sporting Nelson Mandela Foundation t-shirts, along with eleven specially chosen mascots. A flag bearing the foundations’ logo will also be displayed pitchside.
African musicians, the Abatimbo Drummers of Burundi, will entertain fans before the game and again at half-time showcasing the unique musical sound of Africa.
