With the first home match of the season yet to be played, the club have extended the deadline for applying to to 5pm, Friday 14th September.
Sunderland chief executive Margaret Byrne said: “You can feel a real air of excitement amongst the fans about the business we’ve done in the transfer window. I would like to thank each and every supporter who has placed their faith in the club by buying a season card and assure them that it is their backing that continues to help the club grow stronger and compete at the highest level.
“Of course like any club we want to the stadium full. There’s been a real upsurge in interest, which is why we’ve taken the decision to extend the deadline and give as many fans as possible the chance to buy a season card. We have made a number of changes to the stadium over the summer, which we hope will make matchdays here even more special. Moving the away fans means that the whole of the main bowl is now a vibrant sea of red and white – something that the players have already said is a fantastic move and our fans certainly seemed to enjoy in our recent cup game.
“We have also endeavoured to keep our prices at a realistic level – youngsters can watch a whole season here at the Stadium of Light for just £99, which is less than £5 a game, as well as enjoy our fantastic new Family Zone which has been created over the summer.”
Fans can enjoy a full season of Barclays Premier League football at Stadium of Light, with adult seats priced from £425, young people under 22 from £295 and over 65s season cards from £320. An adult and child season card package in the new Family Zone costs just £499, with any additional child seats available for only £99.
Hospitality packages are also available to purchase for the season, with a range of options for varied tastes and budgets. Prices range from £845 per person for the season.
Season cards can be purchased online at the club’s official website, www.safc.com, by telephone on 0871 911 1973 or in-person at the Stadium of Light ticket office.
