Help for Heroes

October 15, 2009 by rtg

On 31st October (the home match against West Ham) there will be a special event at the Stadium of Light raising money for Help for Heroes a charity which helps wounded servicemen and women.

Royal Signals soldiers from around the country will converge on Wearside to hold a Guard of Honour at the Stadium of Light in the game against West Ham United.

The soldiers will be collecting around the stadium before and during the game as well as receiving a lap of honour ten minutes before kick off. They will then line the tunnel as the players run out onto the pitch.

As well as this, SAFC have given 200 tickets in order for all Armed Forces personnel to have an ‘Armed Forces Day’ at the Stadium of Light.
