Roy Keane a quitter?

November 14, 2008 by rtg

Rumours have been flying around today that Roy Keane has walked out on SAFC.

Now I have Mr Keane down as several things:

A young inexperienced manager – YES

A manger that makes mistakes – YES

A manager that learns from his mistakes – YES

A disciplinarian – YES

(and I am sure he would freely admit to all of the above)

A quitter – NO.

I will obviously look extremely silly if he does now leave before his contract is up, but personally I have Roy down as a loyal manager who will honour any contract he has signed and definitely not the sort of person to quit just because we have had a few poor results.

We also know he has the full backing of the Drumaville consortium for more than the short term (unless you also want to call Niall Quinn a liar?)

It amazes me that so many people believe rumours presumably started so someone could make a few quid on the betting exchanges.

See you (and Roy) at Blackburn.
