Dean Whitehead has today extended his contract by an additional 2 years.
Whitehead arrived initially on a 3 year deal expiring July 2007, which he extended by a further year during the close season.
Following his excellent performances in the Premier League, the club have offered a further 2 years extension which Whitehead has accepted.
Whitehead said:
