The North East England Regional Independent Supporters Group are holding a Forum at the Copt Hill Public House (The Captains Suite), Houghton-le-Spring, Tyne and Wear. (Located 0.8 miles out of Houghton on the B1404 towards Seaham) on Monday 28th November 2005, commencing at 7.30pm.
Nicola Jones and Adele Bolderson from the English FA are travelling up from London and local lad Kevin Miles from the Football Supporters Federation (FSF-Fans Embassies, etc) will be in attendance. Tony Davison from Club Wembley will give a short presentation on the new Wembley Stadium and Dr Emma Poulton from Durham University will give a short presentation on the media coverage/representation of football fans.
This is a great opportunity for North East England Supporters to ask any direct questions regarding England, the World Cup in Germany, ticketing, security, Wembley, etc. During the evening an England Euro2004 Football shirt, signed by the England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, a new mitre ball and a copy of the Fuller’s Fans Guide to German Stadiums 2005/06 will be raffled and the money raised donated to a Childrens charity.
North East England Fans (N.E.E.F.) was formed during February 2005 after interest shown on the main England Fans website and is steadily growing in strength. It is one of around nine independant regional groups throughout the country which liaise with the FA.
Over the last few years more and more independent groups of englandfans have set themselves up. This has two real benefits for the FA and its members. Firstly, it provides the FA a perfect opportunity to have face to face contact with their members and also to hear first hand the issues which are affecting members and suggestions for improvement.
N.E.E.F. welcome all supporters of England from Tyne and Wear, Durham, Northumberland, Teeside and North Yorkshire. North East Ex-pats are also welcome as well as invited guests from other regions. The North East England Fans forum is a purely independent regional group whose purpose is to bring all England supporters together throughout the North East to give us a common voice to channel our concerns, criticisms, questions, ideas and praise on all things England, which may go someway to assisting one another with tickets/travel tips/ accommodation, etc. N.E.E.F. is ran by the supporters for the supporters and has no direct links with any other organisation.
Membership to the forum is open to both England fans members (Official England Supporters Club) and non members who actively support England home and/or away.
