Saturday 24th September sees the draw for the 3rd round of the League Cup, at 12.15pm. The draw will be televised live on Sky Sports’ “Soccer Saturday” programme.
Sunderland beat Cheltenham Town 1-0 at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday evening after being taken to extra time.
The third round sees all remaining League clubs – given a bye from previous rounds if they were involved in European football 0 – enter the draw.
The draw is unseeded and Sunderland are no 28. Ties to be played Tues 25 October/Wed 26 October.
