Mick McCarthy has signed another striker – Andy Gray from Sheffield United.
The 27 year old has joined SAFC on a contract that will see him stay with us until summer 2008, at a cost of £1.1m.
Mick McCarthy was pleased to see the deal finally done, and said “At 27 years old, he’s in his prime. His style of play gives us another option up front and I think this is another excellent signing.”
Gray played his final game for the Blades in their season-opening 4-1 defeat of Leicester at Bramall Lane last Saturday, when he scored from the spot.
