Alan Stubbs and Anthony Le Tallec have both signed for the club today.
Stubbs on a one year deal with an option for an additional year, and French forward Le Tallec on a one year loan deal from Liverpool.
Stubbs made over 30 appearances for Everton last season, he moved to Goodison Park in 2001 having previously enjoyed spells at Celtic and Bolton Wanderers where he made over 200 appearances before moving north of the border.
Mick McCarthy said:
“Alan is a vastly experienced centre-back who played nearly 40 games in the top-flight last season for a team that qualified for the Champions League. A player of his proven quality will be a great asset to the side – he has leadership skills and being an older head, will have that calming influence on the younger squad members that’s so important. You need characters like that around the place and I’m thrilled that we’ve been able to bring him here.”
Le Tallec, who is capped by France at Under-21 level, has been loaned out to St Etienne and Le Havre since arriving at Liverpool. He was brought to Anfield by Gerard Houllier and has struggled to break into the Liverpool team.
