Andy Welsh who joined on an initial one-and-a-half year deal until June 2006, has extended the deal for a further year until 2007.
Mick McCarthy said: “Welshy deserves his contract extension. His attitude has been magnificent and he’s worked harder than anyone to improve physically and technically. I’m looking forward to seeing him compete in the Premier League, I think he’s got something a little bit different to offer.”
