Michael Bridges has, as expected, passed a medical and completed his move to Bristol City FC today.
Mickey, 26, was told by Mick McCarthy at the end of last season that he had no place in the gaffer’s plans for SAFC’s first season back in the Premiership and was free to seek a new club.
He moves to City on a free transfer, initially for one year with an option on a further year.
Formalities were completed in time for Mickey to take part in tonight’s derby match against Bristol Rovers, where it’s thought he’ll partner Steve Brookner up front.
Bridges joins another former SAFC striker who also played a part in SAFC’s promotion season, at City – Marcus Stewart signed for the club only weeks ago.
