Stadium Damaged but Match ON

January 8, 2005 by rtg

Sunderland AFC have confirmed that today’s FA Cup 3rd Round tie against Crystal Palace will go ahead as scheduled.

Minor wind damage has occurred to the roof in the North East corner of the Stadium of Light and in order to ensure the safety of all supporters, this part of the ground will be closed for today’s game.

Supporters holding tickets in this area will be relocated to other parts of the ground on arrival.

Anyone who has purchased tickets in the NE corner is asked to enter through their normal designated turnstile (33 – 36), where they will be given a replacement ticket and relocated to the North or East sections of the Stadium.

Supporters collecting tickets for the corporate hospitality areas of the Stadium are asked to go directly to Stadium Reception, where a temporary ticket collection point has been arranged.
