SAFC confirms Carter recalled

December 6, 2004 by rtg

SAFC has confirmed to us that on-loan midfielder Darren Carter has been recalled by Birmingham City.

The 20-year-olds’ three-month loan deal was due to end on Dec 15th, however he will now return to St. Andrews with immediate effect.

Birmingham City say that Darren will rejoin his colleagues at City in training on Tuesday morning, but refused to say whether or not he would feature in the derby game against Aston Villa this weekend.

Mick McCarthy said, “Steve Bruce has been great to let us have him. Darren’s been terrific and I’ll be saddened to see him go.”
