Sunderland’s FA Premier Reserve League game against Newcastle, scheduled to take place in Durham on Wednesday, has been postponed.
The Black Cats asked for it to be called off because they have two away games this week.
Mick McCarthy’s side take on Crewe in the Carling Cup at Gresty Road tomorrow followed by a League fixture at Leeds on Friday night.
The club would like to apologise to fans for any inconvenience caused and assure them that as soon as a new date has been agreed they will be advised.
Fans who have already purchased tickets for this game are advised that these tickets will be valid for the re-arranged game. Any supporter wanting a refund should return their tickets to the ticket office.
