The Football League has announced the first ever deal for sponsorship of referees.
The deal will see all referees and match officials in all English professional games wear kits bearing the ‘Fly Emirates’ logo of Emirates Airline on their sleeves for all Premiership games, FA Cup ties, FA Community Shield, as well as all Football League matches.
In return, Emirates Airline are making a “significant investment” in the training and development of officials at all levels of the game.
