Sunderland AFC has issued a statement regarding the future of striker Kevin Kyle.
The Scot, who celebrated his 23rd birthday on Monday, was said to have been wanted by Crystal Palace boss Iain Dowie to join his newly-promoted side.
But the club said today that Kyle is NOT for sale.
He scored 16 goals for Sunderland last season.
