Portsmouth Football Club have confirmed that they expect Carl Robinson to complete his permanent switch to Sunderland in the near future.
The Fratton Park side say that they expect Robinson, 25, to be a Sunderland player “at the start of next month, all things being equal”.
Mick McCarthy brought Robinson in on loan at the end of March on a deal until the end of the 2003/04 season – his contract with Pompey expires at the end of June. The player is due to undergo a medical at the Stadium of Light before his transfer becomes official.
