Mick McCarthy has AGAIN moved to dismiss reports linking him with the vacant manager’s post at South Korea.
The news broke several weeks ago that McCarthy was one of several managers who had apparently been shortlisted for the job.
One north-east newspaper has reported today that the Koreans had offered the job to French coach Bruno Metsu but that he is instead considering an offer from a club in Qatar.
Reports in the South Korean press suggest that McCarthy might now be offered the post, but the gaffer has dismissed supporters’ worries that he might move.
He said “There’s only one thing I’m interested in at the moment – and that’s doing my job at Sunderland and winning promotion.”
