Ingham moves on loan

March 15, 2004 by rtg

Michael Ingham has been snapped up by Wrexham as cover for their injured goalkeeper Andy Dibble.

The Sunderland keeper, 23, has moved to the Racecourse Ground on a month’s loan.

Dibble broke his arm in two places and dislocated his shoulder in a horrific collision in ther game with Peterborough on Saturday and Wrexham boss Denis Smith has counted on a favour from his old club to quickly bring in a replacement.

Ingham has established himself as Mart Poom’s No 2 this season but has made just one first-team appearance, against Huddersfield Town in the Carling Cup.

The Preston-born keeper has gone out on loan to Cliftonville, Carlisle, Stoke, Stockport, Darlington and York during his time at the Stadium of Light.

He is set to make his Dragons debut in their game against QPR in London tomorrow.
