Sunderland AFC has confirmed that Mick McCarthy has agreed to release four players.
The players in question are Simon Ramsden, Chris Black, Craig James and Chris Scott. All have been told that they are free to find new clubs when their contracts with Sunderland come to an end in June.
McCarthy said of his decision, “There are a few of the younger players at the club that I’ve told I won’t be keeping.
“It’s only fair to let then know early because they need the chance to have as much time as possible to find themselves clubs when their contracts expire in the summer.”
