George McCartney and Jeff Whitley have been named in new Northern Ireland boss Lawrie Sanchez’s first squad since his appointment as
manager.
The Sunderland pair will join a 23-man squad for Northern Ireland’s
forthcoming friendly match against Norway. The game will take place at
Windsor Park, Belfast on February 18 2004, 7:45pm kick off.
Sunderland midfielder John Oster, meanwhile, has been named in the Wales squad for their friendly against Scotland at the Millennium Stadium on
February 18.
