What are they?
Couldnt have given a monkeys about them if I didnt work down here (Stockton).
Its funny today listening to them all coming out of the woodwork when they've not been to a game for yonks, talking about coming up in a mini - bus.
Ranks below Leeds in what I would class as a derby or grudge match.
I actually hope they get promoted as its good for the area & a lot of my clients.
a small town in yorkshire
I lived there for a year and went to Uni there for 3 years.
Good people, no different from us.
Their hoolies were nutters.........fighting with each other at the Scotland game at Euro 96.
Not as bad as Sheff Utd in my opinion
They all have 15 fingers.
I hate them about as much as I hate West Brom
I like them about as much as I like West Brom
I have neither opinions nor feelings on Boro. I'd actually quite like them to get promoted, simply because it's a nice easy away trip.
As I currently live in Boro I have nothing at all against them. Usually have good conversations about football with them all, even if a few try to wind me up, but it's all harmless. Hope they get promoted.
Like to see them do well, as a local team. I like to see all local teams do well. except NUFC of course.
Nout wrong with Boro. Now and again my dad would take me to seen them play in the 60's when Sunderland played away.
no different to barnsley or bradford..just another team south of us
still laugh when I think of M0ngbrays comments when he was manager of WBA and we overhauled them
Neither here, nor there. Just another a football club to me.
I'd see them as any other team if I didn't know some smoggies who hate Sunderland with a passion. So I always smile at the unrequited rivalry
Shit club, shit fans, shit area.
I like beating them. I don't like getting beat off them, but if we do, it's nowhere near the pain of getting beat off the mags. I enjoy our games together. There is a heightened sense of occasion against them, and it is a bit of a derby despite what anybody says. It's just not like the real thing against the scum. I'm looking forward to the game.
I find their hatred of us highly amusing, because they don't bother us all that much.
I actually quite like them, liked watching them when they had Ravanelli, Juninho and Emerson. They also have a fantastic owner in Gibson who deserves a bit of success. Still hope we turn them over in the cup though!
Neither like or dislike them.
Best way I can put it is, if they're not in the same league as us then I quickly forget about them. I don't even think of looking for their results. Different to the mags as I look in hope that they've been beat.
When we do play them I, of cours, want a resounding victory for us but thats the same whoever we play. I guess there is a marginal increase in pleasure/disappointment after our games though.
