At City for me its Fulham in numbers and voice
Mags, they stink
We get pitiful away numbers at the SOL, so take your pick marra!
Smaller teams like Fulham and Wigan don't have great fan base's, and can't really be blamed. It's the likes of Bolton and Blackburn who really should do better, imo!
Believe it or not, Plymouth were one of the best...during midweek!!
Agree with that, they got beat 5-1 (or 5-0?!?!) but never stopped singing in the pissing rain. Sean Thornton tore them to bits iirc
City are generally very poor, don't think they've ever sold out even after the sheik bankrolled them. Normally quiet except fir the odd blue moon chant
Stoke, Blackburn, Fulham & Bolton all poor travellers to the SOL.
Seem to remember Stoke bringing less than 50 up here for a midweek game a few seasons ago.....
We always take good number up
Stoke for me
Villa. 3000 for midweek game free busses and rennet tickets. 3 months later for Saturday game had about 900. And they stink
Aye, mainly because of the hype of how amazing their support is and then when they get here they make nee noise.
Shite support form a humongous club like Villa
This is a message for the Plymouth Argyle fans: Give us three rings when you get home, thanks. (Anyone under about 30 won't get what the stadium announcer was on about, but it tickled me).
Middlesbrough always disappoint, given that it's usually the biggest game of their season.
It was a midweek and a couple of weeks before christmas, think it was less than 900
No they are not
Theres only the scum, man u, arsenal, liverpool and spurs that sell out. City have brought good numbers up for a few years. They always bring up more than Chelsea.
It's Manchester City. Not 'city'
The likes of Blackburn, Wigan and Bolton are always low in numbers but then again if Manchester United was in the North East I'm sure we'd suffer from similar lack of numbers to a degree.
I always found Portsmouth fans annoying. You can't fault the passion for travelling that distance but they just seemed to think they were hooligans whenever I saw them. Ripping up chairs, spending the whole match facing the Sunderland fans, and they have a wanker with a bell. They played Carlisle in the Carling Cup or FA Cup a couple of seasons ago too and put a few windows through on our road of bars. Was all rather depressing when we're told "there's a riot outside!" by some hysterical lass and then a giant bellend in a wig with a bell comes strutting down the road.
plenty of people call them city
Stoke for me, not a million miles away and considering their 'best fans in the world' drivel you never hear a squeak.
Stoke bought up 178 for a midweek game when they were going for the play-0ffs in 06-07....poor support.
