to be sold by advocaat if he gets the job. As well as O'Shea and will build team round Cattermole according to the Sun. Would be silly to ditch Wickham as it seems we have seen better of him under Advocaat.
Keep O'Shea and Cattermole, bring some cash in for the other 2 mentioned.

Whoever comes in should be looking to peddle the likes of Fletcher.

Wouldn't complain if we sold our strikers and added pace. Would also get Gestede from Blackburn, bullies the centre halfs better than anyone else.

Build the year around a player who will only have 12 months left on his contract come the start of the season, aye of course we are

I sincerely hope whoever comes in ditches these 2.......Strikers that don't score goals are no use...simple as that

I hope he doesn't get the job if his master plan is to build a team around Cattermole.

Cattermole isn't a captain, doesn't inspire confidence, doesn't possess a cool-head and never will, is injury-prone and suspended too often. Besides all this he is at best an average PL plodder who has never risen above the level of playing in sides who are invariably finishing in the bottom 6.

Since his first game for Boro (2005) he has amassed the grand total of 212 league games - in 10 years !!!!! A dreadful return.
Cattermole is the only captain we have, with the possible exception of Seb.

How to win the support of players in the vital run-in.
1. Identify which players you do not want to retain at the end of the season.
2. Leak it to the renowned purveyor of football stories.
The 2 golden rules of how to get the best out of players from a vastly experienced successful football manager.
What a complete load of crap.

Why would Dick speculate about selling his strikers with a handful of games to go and far from certain if he would get the job or which league we'd be in.

Answer. It's The Sun
