Three would be compulsory with an option of using 5 if needed. Maybe increase the subs to 8 also
So you have to make 3 subs?
Plus there'd be never ending time wasting, and linesmen struggle enough sorting one set of numbers out never mind 5
Let's just give City next years trophies already.
It would only benefit the big clubs who could afford to have 5 top standard players to bring on.
First half isn't going to plan.. Mancini just whacks on a fresh legged half a team of superstars
The exact reason the rule is there. A team like that would be unstoppable.
Wouldn't want up to 10 subs coming on in the second half. It would end up like rugby union with two efferent sides out there, and football would use them for reasons such as time-wasting and as an alternative to a time out.
There should only ever be one sub and that is if someone is taken off injured otherwise it makes a fucking mockery of the game.
(like it is now)
Footballs moved on mate. There would be dozens more injuries and slower paced games.
Could always make it 50 minutes each half. Would give more players more 1st team experience and game-time is my point.
They could play for a club where they are first choice @ first team level - instead of sitting on their arses picking up a huge wage
Two goalies per t...a robot refer...an ovoid pitc...abolish offside!!
There's enough stopping and starting already. One of the great things about football is how quickly it flows...go to see an NFL, baseball game or NHL game and 60 minutes of action is "packed" into three hours or more.
Goal line techonogy will be followed by replay appeals allowed for each team, countless substitutions and then (this happens in hockey and football over here) play is stopped for advertising time outs.
Once you start stopping the game it's a downward spiral..be careful.
Am I the only person who quite enjoys how long an NFL game lasts? Used to love Sundays at uni last year, hoy some bets on at 11am, a Spanish game, then super sunday, then 10 hours of NFL. Unreal.
On the topic of subs, I reckon you shouldn't be allowed any subs if you're winning the game. Would stop all these bollocks substitutions like bringing on Puyol for Messi or something to see a game out. If a player gets injured, you go down to 10 until the game is level or you win or something.
I agree mate. 3 on the bench (including a keeper) one can come on.
Separate names with a comma.
