An industrial estate in Leechmere will complete your presription for canny cheap iirc.
optician mate. they test your eyes to see how blind you are then recommend glasses that will counter balance your weakness and help you to see better when wearing them.

Got some new ones from Vision Express in the Bridges last month - they're okay.

Specsavers, much as I hate the adverts, are great. Very thorough eye test which meant I could finally see the damage properly that had been caused by my MS relapse and 2 designer pairs for the price of 1. Top notch!!

Opticians in Asda Boldon. Range is probably as good as Specsavers etc but cheaper.
I got mine from Toni & Guy opticians in Newcastle though.
Need mine testing too!! but I`m not going there.

I wouldn't get tested in a supermarket like doesn't seem right.
