How do you react
Is it any better if the umps is a canny bloke ?
I always act the gentlemen
Sometimes you refuse to even walk off
Walk off, save the tantrum for the dressing room.
There is nothing funnier in cricket for players or spectators than hearing kit being launched around a changing room.
Makes a great game working out by the sounds which bit of kit smashed into what.
Nothing like a good clear out of the dressing room when you know it's coming
Kick off, set fire to the umpire, stab the bowler, massacre the crowd.
That's after your middle stump gets knocked out
Something like this usually
Wor youngun was given out caught behind when he missed one by six inches yesterday by an umps that is registered deaf
Just walked of with a smile on his face
I don't understand what you mean by 'given out'.
When the finger is raised and you don't think it should be
Whoosh ya fucker.
I'm usually clean bowled or left stranded on 0* at the other end so no need for an umpire...
A bloke got ran out in a SMB game last week and on the way back to the changing rooms kicked fuck out of the door. The SMB team just laughed.
I'm usually more annoyed with myself as it's usually a stinker of a shot that i get out to.
Simple walk off smile and ask that club officers tell the league that he never umpires a game at our ground again!
I recall one game when a player from Newton Aycliffe got so wound up that the police were called and he spent the night in the cells!
Toe absolutly knacks of the main fire escape door but the dressing room door took its kicking like a man. Only kick off like that once every two or three season but was really frustrated that we had fucked up the hard work of getting in on an aqful pitch and things were just getting easier
Ive done similar in the past and its done in the heat of the moment and then you just feel like a tit for a bit afterwards
As i say its a rare event but i slways reckon that a quick let off of steam can be better than sitting in silence for a few hours like fellas ive played with in the past
Used to just sit in silence but then I realised just smiling and making the Umps buy me a pint in the clubhouse after is much more enjoyable.
I generally walk off and if I think I've had a bad one I'll shake me head and then whinge to everyone
Sometimes the odd thing will be kicked and bat thrown in the changing rooms.
