Hats off to you lads
i come from birtley which i suppose is tyneside, just.
mainly mags here but still quite a few follow the lads.
Marsden-7 miles from Roker Park but 11 miles from St James Park.
As a kid it was much easier getting to Sunderland than Newcastle. We had the Economic buses (now the E1, E2 & E6) but only the one Northern bus to Newcastle which took forever.
Alright I suppose. Could be worse.
There certainly is. Often see someone wearing a Sunlun shirt/jacket down what used to be Netto and the Fell Bank area.
born and bred in the felling, cheers for the hats off. im proud to be a geordie and where i come from, wouldnt have it any other way. surrounded by mags all my life, mates, some family. i wouldve been on the other side but for my grandad (dads dad) going against the grain, and im bloody glad he did. ftm
I lived in Stanley for a while... mainly mags, the banter was cracking.
Dad from Seaham but born over here...chased round school....all my mates are mags...and get stick all year round.
Now 36 and wouldnt swap it for the world the dirty black and white fuckers!!
What made you go with your grandad rather than anyone else? Amazingly I don't think i have any Newcastle fans in our family.
Is that Stanley on Tyneside
Majority of my mates are mags, all really understanding and down to earth. Good craic.
Good crack?, must just be me, but I suppose there must be some good mags
Are they fuck, shit bags that should burn in hell
I have several cousins who are from Hebburn and they all support Sunderland. I think Hebburn was onced named as the English town with the most football attending fans percentage wise.
From Seaham but am black and white. Grew up with loads of mackem mates which is why I'll always take a bit of an interest in Sunderland's fortunes - not got much choice when we talk football.
I know. Goes against the grain a bit but my dad was Newcastle and I've not had much choice in the matter. Uncle's red and white and took me to a few games when I was younger in an attempt to turn me but it wasn't happening tbh.
Born in Wallsend - grew up in North Shields, Dad from Hebburn and SAFC season ticket holder all his life, so the rest is history
A lot of my family and quite a few mates are Mags (live in Leicestershire these days) - good banter with all of them
thats where im from and im now 36
lot of my mates are skunks and i try not to talk about football with them cos everyone of them turns into an arrogant, ignorant bitter twat!
see a few sunderland shirts on birtley front street but you see loads more mags gear.:-(
