One from Carrick/Ireland + one from N'Zogbia/McGeady...... OR
A £15m plus striker to partner Bent...
First one by a mile. However, you're most likely talking around £20m for the any combination of the first option.
Would be £20m very well spent imo......would transform our midfield and also our current strikeforce.
A left back and a left winger.
All of the above Seriously i'd say the one from carrick/ireland one, we've been crying out for a playmaker for years, and it doesn't get much better than the two players in question i.m.o.
Yep. We have enough forwards for a 4-5-1 (unless Jones is sold).
Jones would score more if we had a consistant crosser of the ball, I think by adding creative midfielders it's always going to improve the chances Jones and Bent get.
Lowering our expectations.
The Carrick/Ireland option, by a country mile.
Ireland and Nzogbia.
We need more creativity and goalscorers in midfield.
Still, would love a good striker to partner Bent as although Jones is alright he is too up and down and is crap/average much more than he is good.
That Gyan from Ghana, for me, would be an excellent partner for Bent.
Is there not the possibility that any 2 from Carrick, Ireland, McGeady and N'Zogbia would have a profound effect on Jones' output.
Possibly. But i'm 100% certain that they would have an even more profound effect on a better striker, like Gyan.
Carrick and Ireland are completely different players, Ireland is very attacking whereas Carrick is played more deep. I'd want Riquelme or Ireland
is the correct answer
Bent and Jones is more than good enough for us at the moment in my opinion. An even better striker than Jones would be great, however not as important as improving the midfield - in particular the Left Wing.
Ireland & Nzogbia would be ideal.
With their creativity, campbell may be more apt to hit the target more often as he'd get more opportunities no doubt.
We'd not need another striker
Carrick & N'Zogbia
£18m?............theres £10m of underachievers wallowing around in the reserves.
Not so sure they are under achievers as opposed to simply not good enough.
Healey, Murphy, Fulop et al are simply not good enough.
