About how good we really are and how competitive we are likely to be this season. Anyone agree?
Putting the really in italics has swayed it for me Jarvo - I totally agree mate
we will learn what gyan's style of play is that's for sure
I also agree, its all well and good giving the better sides in the division a good going over but we need to go to places like Blackburn on a cold wet Monday night and pick up 3 points if we really want to progress!
up to now I think most fans are happy (in general) with the results against who we have played........BUT lose tonight and the season takes a very different viewpoint
2 points off bottom with teams like Liverpool and Birmingham likely to pass us.
Win tonight and we can be begin to think we are going in the right direction
Crucial result.......don't care if it is a stinker of a game.....crucial 3 points for perception and confidence.
Yes I agree, lets see if we turn up tonight
not many sides will win there , a point will be a good result
Crucial not to lose or play very very well and lose unluckily IMO
I agree with you.
We have definitely got better at playing against the big clubs.
But these really are the games we need to win if we want to go to the next level.
Im optimistic and think we will win tonight and take sunderland to the next level.
3-1 to us Gyan first goal (thats what my money's on)
nowt like running before you walk.
Aye, it'll be interesting. We've got to get this 4-5-1 working away as well as it does at home.
They'll be big and physical so we've got to outmanouevre them.
Yep, winning these sort of games we'll finish in the top 10
have to keep it on the ground
I'd take a point now. As has already been said, not many teams come away from Blackburn with points.
id be happy with a point given our away record
3 points would be fantastic but i cant see it
just hope we turn up
True enough. Theres been a lot of confidence gained amongst players and fans over recent performances but if we lose tonight it will have been a poor start to the season. It will be truly awful on here later if we get beat
One result shouldnt mean that much but if we did win tonight on the back of the recent performances I think we can all look forward to a very good season.
Agree. Villa at home is looking easily winnable at the minute, then the Mags who seem to be really struggling at home. An away win for us tonight would set us flying. But as I said, I'll have a point now.
if people think a point is good enough then think right thats us in 15th-ish then got villa at home who are rejuvenated (well better than what they were) which would be a tough game to get a win in then we have the derby. we want to go into the derby not under pressure of not winning for god knows how long
agree with this and the op
